2021 was also the year of the vaccine, as one of our respondents predicted. New vaccines gave society a powerful tool against the coronavirus. To date, millions across the globe have been vaccinated and some have even received a booster shot. New variants of the virus have emerged throughout 2021, even in countries with high vaccination rates.
We witnessed housing challenges in the US, as home prices rose due partly to a major decrease in homes available for purchase. The economy was also shocked by home buyers migrating away from cities, retirement rates increasing, and a new global worker shortage.
What will 2022 bring? Will many of the same issues that plagued us in 2021 continue? Will solutions be introduced to those problems? We surveyed some of our most forward-looking colleagues and selected trends and predictions to help you plan for 2022.
