Trends in the public sector

The new era of AI awaits. There’s no shortage of issues that governments have been navigating – geopolitical tensions, political upheavals, economic challenges, high debt levels, workforce scarcity, climate change, rising fraud and security and safety. Looking ahead, 2025 presents similar challenges.
Governments spent 2024 watching emerging technologies and learning about the potential to improve service delivery to citizens and how to enable civil servants to be more effective at their jobs. Departments and agencies started laying the foundation for implementing AI.
In 2025, the public sector will advance its adoption of AI – beginning to integrate it into processes to streamline work and allow people to focus on high-value work.
