Pi Day is upon us! Every year on March 14, math-lovers unite to celebrate *all things pi* because the date (written 3/14 in the US) matches the first three digits of pi, 3.14.

If you’re trying to dust off the cobwebs from grade school geometry, pi (*π*) is a mathematical constant used to describe the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. Pi is all around us, even if we don’t realize it. It’s special to SAS and our technology; it's used in engineering and construction; it describes the motion of waves in the ocean and those that allow us to communicate wirelessly; and it’s the foundation of GPS (the Earth is a sphere after all). Circles are everywhere!

While “pi” and “pie” have two very different meanings, they sound the same, so naturally eating pie is a berry important part of Pi Day celebrations. However, you don’t have to compromise your healthy eating plan to enjoy these festivities which is why, just like pi, I am *irrationally* excited to share these 3.14 pi(e)-inspired recipes…pick the 1 that’s right 4 you!
