9 sweet seasons for giving

0

Well SAS, you outdid yourselves once again! For 9 years, we've been collecting and donating leftover and excess Halloween candy from SAS families. After a brief hiatus last year, we challenged you to raise the {candy} bar once again this year...and man did you do that, tipping the scales at 325 pounds of candy which brings us up to a total of 3,625 pounds of candy donated since 2012. WOW!

What happened to ALL that candy?

Well, we are happy to report that we donated the candy to NCPacks4Patriots. The candy, along with other items such as holiday decorations, games, food, toiletries, and more were packed into Christmas Goodie Bags and distributed to our deserving service men and women, both local and deployed.  What a truly great season of giving! Thank you, SAS!

More Giving Ideas - Gingerbread Granola

If you're looking for a last minute gift idea for loved ones, whip up this Gingerbread Granola for a festive twist on a classic favorite.

Package it up in a glass jar (everything looks cuter in a jar, right?!) with a cheerful piece of fabric and you have the perfect gift for anyone on your list! In addition to the recipe, we've also provided a gift tag that you can download and print to attach to the jars that contain a list of the ingredients included in the granola.

Happy gifting! (And be sure to save a little for yourself!)

Happy Holidays! We hope you embrace this sweet season for giving!
