8 Sweet Seasons for Giving

0

Well SAS, you outdid yourselves once again! For 8 years running, we've been collecting and donating leftover and excess Halloween candy from SAS families. After last year's record breaking 680 pounds of donated candy, we challenged you to raise the {candy} bar even higher this year...and man did you do that, tipping the scales at 705 pounds of candy!

That's 25 pounds MORE than we collected last year and brings us up to a total of 3,300 pounds of candy donated since 2012. WOW!

What happened to ALL that candy?

Well, we are happy to report that we donated the candy to NCPacks4Patriots. The candy, along with other items such as holiday decorations, games, food, toiletries, and more were packed into Christmas Goodie Bags and distributed to our deserving service men and women, both local and deployed.  What a truly great season of giving! Thank you, SAS!

More Giving Ideas- Soup Mix Ornaments

If you're looking for a last minute gift idea for loved ones, try these super cute and festive (yet practical) Soup Mix Ornaments. Assemble them in minutes, wrap in a cute bag or box and you have the perfect gift for anyone on your list!

We used these 12 ounce glass jars that resemble the shape of an ornament and then cut out and attached paper bows. For a free paper bow template, check out Ash and Crafts.

In addition to the RECIPES, we've also provided CARDS that you can download and print to attach to the ornaments that contain instructions for making the soups.

Happy gifting!

Happy Holidays! We hope you embrace this sweet season for giving!
