I'm really pleased and excited that my friend and colleague Alison Bolen is becoming a contributor to this blog. Alison has been one of the most dedicated, vocal and tireless advocates of the value of social media to SAS, even before I started working here. A lot of the progress we have made can be traced back to her commitment and leadership.

Alison has run the sascom voices blog since its inception, and has recently taken on a new role here at SAS called Editor, Blogs and Social Content. That in itself is another indication of our increasing commitment to social media. I have no doubt she will continue to share what she learns in that role. If you're not following Alison on Twitter, you should be.

Now I just have to make sure she doesn't make me look bad by posting here more often than I do.
