Posters anyone?

So many papers, so little time. Looking at the SAS users group conference schedule and deciding what to attend and how to get the very most of your day can be overwhelming -  in a good way of course. So many great choices.

The Posters section is my favorite. The section doesn’t have constant scheduled presentations; it’s more of self-guided tour through a topic. It’s an at-your-own-pace view into a paper.

Although there may not be formal presentations, this valuable section still offers an interaction with the author. At NESUG, for example, the posters section has scheduled “Poster Presentations” from 5:00-6:00pm on Tuesday September 13 in the Solutions Center. It’s a chance to meet the author, ask questions and get more insight into a particular area.

If you are interested in presenting at a SAS Users Group conference, the poster section may be a great chance to get your feet wet without the stage fright. It’s also the perfect place for those presentations that are visually stimulating.

You also get to keep your poster, so at the end of the conference you can take your hard work home and proudly display it for the local users group meetings, in-house meetings and team meetings.

Gone are the days of hanging the heartthrobs on your wall; hang up your SAS code in poster form and drool away.
