I was thrilled about getting the opportunity to attend SAS Global Forum again this year. Not only did I get to spend time visiting lovely Seattle for the first time, but I was able to catch up one-on-one with 21 of our illustrious authors, colleagues, and users—and ask a lot of prying questions with my little hand-held audio recorder. Fortunately, most everyone appeared to enjoy the experience. And now that the 19 podcast interviews have been edited, you, too, can get behind-the-scenes details about our authors, their current and upcoming books, their participation in social media networking, and what makes SAS Global Forum the superb conference that it is.

Besides conducting these interviews (and trying really hard to dodge the lively backdrop of the demo room floor, including our very own clanky SAS Publishing Wheel of Fortune), I greatly enjoyed creating a montage featuring 1 sound byte from each interviewee. The montage is a pretty quick and entertaining dose of info, particularly if you try to guess the names behind the voices. In fact, if you do just that and all of your matches are correct—I will send you a very small prize. Or better, yet, I will interview you at SAS Global Forum next year.
