Today is National Intern Day, a day dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the meaningful contributions our interns bring to the table each day. At SAS, we’ve relied on interns and the curiosity and innovation they bring since the beginning, and they bring a special something to our culture.
Our interns aren’t coffee runners – they do real, meaningful work, and attend meetings and complete projects (with deadlines!) just like everyone else. But of course, interning at SAS isn’t all work and no play – our interns take part in a one-of-a kind onboarding experience (hi, Internpalooza!), hackathons, social events and have the opportunity to meet and network with mentors, leaders and executives.
So, what’s a SAS internship like? We think it’s pretty sweet. But don’t take our word for it. Hear it from the source:
“We’re only halfway through, but I’ve learned so much so far and have gained more hands-on experience in these first few weeks than I have all of college. The Emerging Careers team and my colleagues at SAS have been so welcoming and supportive. It’s been a great first internship experience!” – Anna Mitchell, Systems Administrator Intern
“Internpalooza was the best welcome to SAS I could’ve hoped for! Between keynote speakers sharing about how SAS uses data and AI for good to learning about SAS’ mission and vision from executives, it was an insightful week. Joining the Marketing Campaign and Events team this summer, I’ve felt immensely welcomed and supported. I couldn’t be more excited about the #saslife!” – Tia Malika Chawla, Marketing Campaigns and Events Intern.
“As a company, SAS is known worldwide for its leading data and AI solutions and for fostering an environment where employees are encouraged to innovate and explore. My experience interning at SAS has provided real-world context to complement what I’ve learned in school. The hands-on experience is invaluable and the ability to work on real projects makes all the difference.” – Anthony Epps, Cloud Acceleration Intern.
“At 22 years old, I’ve been lucky enough to have had several internship opportunities. SAS has been the most rewarding by far. I truly love the work that I do, the people that I work with are amazing and the environment is absolutely amazing.” – Rahul Bhatia, Project Management Intern
