Julia Moreno is a Data Scientist in the Applied AI and Modeling division at SAS, specializing in NLP and GenAI. After completing her Ph.D. in Linguistics at the University of Glasgow, she transitioned to a career where she could combine her linguistic and data science skills to support using text and spoken language in data-driven decision making both within academia and in the renewable energy industry. Since joining SAS in 2022, her NLP and machine learning projects have spanned a range of industries including law enforcement, endangered species, health and life sciences, manufacturing, and CPG.
