And the work continues

The girls are continuing to work on and present their results.

Maria and Tara present at The Big Bang Fair in Northern Ireland, receiving Runners Up in the Intermediate Section on 24 June 2019.

Maria and Tara presenting at the SAS Ireland Customer Forum in Dublin on 27 June 2019.

It was impressive to see the level of professionalism and expertise Maria and Tara brought to their presentation during the SAS Ireland Forum. Bear in mind this is a customer event, and most of the presenters do this for their day jobs. The team continue to raise awareness and publicise the results of their study:

  • They are in the process of creating a smartphone app that will include first aid steps, as well as additional requirements and education on Type 1 diabetes and other chronic illnesses for anyone who wishes to use it.
  • They are reaching out to politicians and health officials in Ireland to present their findings with recommendations.
