Namita Lokare is a Ph.D. candidate in Active Robotics Sensing Laboratory in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University (NCSU). She received her MS degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2012. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, India in 2010. She was engaged in machine learning research in the Advanced Analytics Division at SAS in the summer of 2016 and is currently working here on a part time basis. Her research interests include applications of machine learning and computer vision in wearable devices.
