Mary Carter started her career at SAS as a C developer. Her journey began with SAS/AF and then SAS/MDDB as well as its successor SAS/OLAP. She then moved into the High Performance Analytics group and began work on Analytics Infrastructure Resources as part of the early development of SAS Viya. She is currently a part of the Analytics Frameworks group working on ASTORE and helping to develop internal tools like getTicketInfo and testu (a unit testing framework).
