How I avoided jail in Kansas City, and other useful MWSUG tips

2

In 1979, my ninth-grade teachers named me "Most Likely to Replace Rona Barrett" on TV's Good Morning America. Although the prediction never came to pass, it did at least stoke my enthusiasm for "conversation" and my passion for "sharing."

So, yeah, I can be a real talker sometimes.

Up for some spirited, banal chit-chat? Give me a call! Delighted by the meandering rambles of someone thinking out loud? Then listen to this! How about some unsolicited advice? Plenty for everyone!

But I'm also a good listener.

And I'm an especially good listener when it comes to my own personal gain. Know the secret to a longer, happier life? Okay ... How about a sure-fire way to win a free Cadillac? Go on ... What's it going to take to keep me out of jail? I'm all ears.

Those are but a few of the mind-blowing game changers I heard folks talking about at the Midwest SAS Users Group Conference.

The list of papers presented reads like the table of contents for an amazing self-help best-seller. Best of all, it's information you can and will actually use. And it's free!

  1. MWSUG Conference ROI Demonstrated: It is my pleasure to give recognition and appreciation to MWSUG and the Innovation Room (formerly Demo Room) representatives for helping the PREMIER Bankcard SAS Users solve a critical production issue during the 1st day of the MWSUG conference on 9/26/2011. PREMIER completed its upgrade to SAS v9.2 and could not get certain Batch Submit code to complete execution. Chevelle Parker & Rick Langston worked closely with me interactively in the Innovation Room to solve this issue in just a few minutes. Their excellent customer support and depth of knowledge exceeded all expectations and eliminated potential production reporting delays. Additionally, I estimate that 1-2 weeks of valuable human resource time was averted that would have been expended for researching and implementing a solution to this problem. THANK YOU CHEVELLE & RICK and the MWSUG Program. Appreciatively, Rex Pruitt, Manager, MIS Analytics, Profitability & Risk Requirements.
