Modifying SAS account passwords in 9.2

3

For SAS 9.2 implementations, changing SASADM, SASSRV, and other SAS account passwords has gotten much easier. The SAS 9.2 Deployment Manager Tool (found at /SAS Deployment Manager/9.2/config.exe) can actually be run to complete this task!

The section starting with "To update a password with SAS Deployment Manager:" on page: http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/bisecag/61133/HTML/default/a003071148.htm#a003262956 provides the 10 steps to walk through when updating SAS account passwords.

Note - this must be done during a system outage.

  1. Hi, Angela, thank you for your reply. Your point is correct, the default value for detail_threshold = 4, that shows all value if more 4% of the whole. So for my case, should specify threshold = 0 ( show all groups). Thanks again.

  2. My sincere apologies for the delayed response! In the midst of a job change & the holidays I got side-tracked.Have you taken a look at the SAS Documentation:http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/graphref/61884/HTML/default/gchart-pie.htmThere is an option called 'DETAIL_THRESHOLD' that appears to provide the needed change.Without the option, the following gchart only shows 6 subsidaries. With the option set to 20%, the number of subsidaries dramatically increases.proc gchart data=sashelp.shoes;pie region/sumvar=sales detail=subsidiary detail_threshold=.2;run; quit;Let me know if this works!

  3. Hi, Angela, I have some questions about gchart pie, I do not know your contact email, so I put it here:code as follows, pie &variable1; / sumvar = no_opportunity detail = &variable2; detail_percent = best detail_value = none detail_slice = best legend;I found when some value of no_opportunity in the subgroup (detail:&variable2;) too small, then the graph will ignore this subgroup and no detail percent or name of subgroup in the graph. How could we do if we need the value 0.5% and subgroup name also displayed in the pie? thanks a lot...
