Dan Donovan is a Sr. Solutions Architect in the Security Intelligence Practice at SAS®. He is responsible for providing pre-sales and business consulting support for software sales activities focused on fraud detection, claims analytics, and investigation management solutions for the property, casualty, life and disability insurance markets in the Americas. Mr. Donovan has 23 years of experience in insurance and investigations. Before joining SAS® he spent 18 years working for Liberty Mutual Insurance in a variety of claims management and investigation leadership roles. He held positions as Director of Special Investigations, Director of Liability, Manager of Special Investigations, Regional Manager for Auto Physical Damage, Claims Manager for Bodily Injury, and started his career as a Claims Adjuster and Special Investigator handling complex claims and provider fraud investigations. Dan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Anselm College, and is a certified Fraud Claim Law Specialist (FCLS). He served two terms on the Board of Directors for the New England International Association of Special Investigation Units (NE-IASIU). He has been a featured speaker at insurance industry educational seminars including the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU), and the ISO Insurance Fraud Management Conference.
