SAS Customer Recognition Awards – It’s time to vote!

The entries are in and now it’s time to cast your vote for the best in each category. A lot is on the line! The first-place winner in each category will receive one trip to SAS Explore in Las Vegas, NV*, a SAS trophy and SAS swag. A bonus for you: read all the entries to learn what these customers are doing with their SAS software, and you may get some new ideas for your organization!

While the online voting is happening, we have a panel of five judges that will score each entry on a 1-5 scale on three categories:

  1. Spirit of story
  2. Strength of evidence
  3. Results

When the voting closes on June 23, the top three vote-getters will get bonus points added to the scores from the judges to create a total score for each entry. The top three scores in each category will be the winners. The first-place winner will get a trip to SAS Explore*!

The first-place winners will be notified during July and all the winners will be publicly announced in September. The first-place winners will be announced at SAS Explore and all winners will be posted online right after the event.

Trish Halley: As Vice President Global Employee Technologies for SAS, Trish is responsible for enriching the global employee experience at SAS by accelerating workforce agility through governed and secure technologies and processes. She enables end user consumer-like productivity and collaboration services and technologies, to ensure employees can work together seamlessly anytime, anywhere, from any device. 

 

 

Chris Hemedinger: As the Director of SAS User Engagement, Chris’ talented team oversees SAS online communities, SAS user groups, developer experience and GitHub, tech newsletters, expert webinars and tutorials. He is a recovering software developer who helped build popular SAS products such as SAS® Enterprise Guide®.  You can follow Chris on Twitter as @cjdinger.

 

 

Michelle Homes: Michelle is the founder, Sales & Comms Maestro at Metacoda. She is an enthusiastic and active member of the SAS community and social sphere. A SAS user since the 1990s, Michelle co-founded Metacoda in 2007 and, as Business Development Manager, enjoys working with SAS customers around the world to help keep their SAS platforms secure through effective metadata administration.

 

 

Richann Watson: Richann is an independent statistical programmer and CDISC consultant for DataRich Consulting. A SAS user since 1996, most of her experience is in the life sciences industry. She specializes in analyzing clinical trial data and implementing CDISC standards. She is a member of the CDISC ADaM team and various sub-teams.

 

 

Ian Munro: Ian is a Risk Infrastructure Architect at Kiwibank, the fifth-largest bank in New Zealand. He has over 40 years’ experience working in the IT industry, including continuous use of SAS since the early 1980s. He attended the very first New Zealand SAS User NZ conference back in 1983 and participated also in the 2022 conference. More recently he has clocked over 20 years working in the New Zealand banking industry, primarily as a Credit Risk Specialist.
