I was inspired to see if I could recreate something similar in SAS. You see the result here. Yes, the PIE3D statement is ready to do your bidding. If that's what you really want.

Any chart cab distort the presentation of data, but visuals are a much faster read, especially on the web. I do think it's important to have the underlying data available to, either on the page or as a drill down.
GraphJam is a very cool site!
Unfortunately, I think some people get-it that GraphJam is (intentionally) full of laughably bad graphs, and they actually use the ideas from the site in their "presentation graphics"!
