3 SAS books win STC awards

As we wrapped up 2011 and began preparing for 2012, we were notified by the Society for Technical Communication, Carolina Chapter, that three SAS Press books received awards in the 2011-2012 competition. We submitted these three entries this past November, and are thrilled that all three submissions won awards.

Please join us in congratulating these authors for their well-deserved honors. In case you are wondering, here’s a description of the award criteria:

Award of Excellence: “Consistently meets high standards and demonstrates an exceptional understanding of technical communication principles.”

Award of Distinguished: “Clearly superior work that applies the principle of technical communication in an outstanding way, particularly in the way it anticipates and fulfills the needs of its audience.”

What’s Next?

Entries receiving a Distinguished or Excellence award are eligible for submission to the STC International Summit Awards. Because all three of this year’s books meet this criteria, they will all be submitted to the international competition in February.
