Partner Specialization recognizes first certified partner in CI

Deals involving major partners drive higher average revenue than when SAS goes alone. And SAS partner deals that include a solution lead-in are typically two-times larger than the typical partner deal.

So with these growth trends in mind, SAS’ Global Alliances and Channels team launched earlier this year the SAS Partner Specialization Program. The Specialization Program is designed to improve partner engagement and enablement around higher-value SAS solutions such as Customer Intelligence, Risk, Security Intelligence and Analytic Modernization. The program is a winning formula for SAS sales, partners, and end customers – providing enhanced enablement to grow deal sizes and help customers identify the right SAS partners for their project.

Earlier this year, SAS partner Corios became the first partner to receive a certification badge in Customer Intelligence. Based in Portland, Ore., Corios has been a SAS partner since 2011, helping SAS close large deals with their expertise in customer intelligence and strong industry focus in financial services. Now with its SAS CI certification, Corios will be able to differentiate itself in its marketplace as a go-to resource for SAS CI implementations as customers look to implement Big Data and Digitalization projects.corios-team-robin

“Corios is thrilled to be the first SAS Alliances partner to receive the SAS Certification Badge for Customer Intelligence,” said Robin Way, President, Corios. “Corios and SAS help our clients understand customer behavior through the power of analytics. Armed with a deeper understanding of their end customers, our clients are able to deliver the most effective marketing, sales and service strategies that meet their customers’ needs. The CI Certification Badge is emblematic of our long-term working relationship and commitment to SAS. We look forward to years of successful collaboration with SAS CI teams around the globe.”

In order to achieve the certification, partners invest in training and resources, sending consultants through days of technical and sales training. In addition, Corios is driving joint partner SAS revenue around CI.

“My partnership with Corios has been the catalyst for fundamental changes in the way our client uses SAS,” said Ted Eisch, SAS Sr. Account Executive, who has partnered with Corios on Financial Services industry deals. “The platform is becoming more integrated into their business model, and I can see the client pursuing SAS solutions across lines of client business for years to come.”

Similar program requirements are in place for specializations in Risk, Security Intelligence and Analytic Modernization.

“Since launching the Specialization Program earlier this year, we’ve received very positive feedback from our partner community on the opportunity to further differentiate themselves as SAS experts,” said Russ Cobb, vice president, SAS Global Alliances & Channels. “SAS partners add to our bottom line. By attaching partners to deals and moving deals to solution focuses, we are able to help create new, more profitable revenue opportunities for our company, while helping create a great experience for our customers.”
