SAS is always looking for ways to gather feedback from its Partners in order to help them drive more return from their investment in SAS. Beyond feedback to our Partner Managers and our annual Partner survey, we are beginning our first Partner Advisory Board -- designed to:
- act as the voice of the SAS Partner community and advise SAS on its product and partnering strategy
- identify market trends and how SAS can respond in the best interest of its Partners
- provide a platform to raise and debate key issues with SAS senior management
Membership on the board will rotate on a two-year basis. The following executives have graciously agreed to serve as board members for the 2017-2018 term.
Dr. Athina Kanioura, Global Managing Director for Customer Analytics, Accenture
Athina Kanioura is the Global Lead for Personalization, Sales, and Customer Analytics in Accenture. She is also the Chief Data Scientist for Accenture Analytics. Athina specializes in econometrical analytics focusing on network analytics, forecasting, customer analytics, pricing, trade merchandising, improving marketing / communication effectiveness and optimizing marketing mix budgets linking analytics with campaign management implementations. Athina has had 9 years of practical experience in advanced statistical and econometric analysis, with both structured and unstructured data. Prior to Accenture , Athina has previously worked for 4 years in the University of Sheffield as a Lecturer in Economics/Econometrics and in UMIST as a Lecturer in Applied Mathematics.
Regarding her academic background , Athina holds a B.Sc. in Economics and Shipping from the University of Piraeus, a M.Sc. In Economics and Finance from the University of Sheffield as well as a PhD in Macroeconomics and Econometrics from the University of Sheffield.
DJ Penix, Founder and President, Pinnacle Solutions
DJ Penix is the Founder and President of Pinnacle Solutions, Inc., an Indianapolis-based SAS Gold Partner and SAS Resell Partner. Since 1996, DJ has been designing, building, deploying, and selling SAS based solutions in various industries including Pharmaceutical, Health and Life Sciences, Insurance, Hospitality & Entertainment, Manufacturing, Financial, Banking, Retail, Education, and others. He graduated from Kalamazoo College with a B.S. in both Mathematics and Computer Science. DJ had also previously served on the executive board of the MidWest SAS Users Group, as well as serve as Section Chair at various SAS Global Forum conferences.
Dan Gietl, Americas Advisory, EY
Mr. Gietl serves as a Senior Principal within Ernst & Young LLP (www.ey.com) Health practice with over 25 years of business and technology consulting experiences serving Fortune 500 clients in North and South America, Canada and Western Europe. Mr. Gietl applies his deep Health Industry and Information Technology acumen to help enhance and extend Access to Care for members participating in the Private Marketplace, State and Federal Health Insurance Exchanges (HIX), and Medicaid and Medicare. In addition, Mr. Gietl is responsible for EY’s Health IT strategy and disciplines for innovative and disruptive technologies such as big data, analytics, blockchain, and IoT.
David Hicks, Vice President Worldwide ISV, OEM, and Java Business Development and Marketing, Oracle
David Hicks is Vice President, Worldwide ISV, OEM, and Java Business Development for Oracle. In this capacity he is responsible for driving Oracle Public Cloud, Java and software product adoption and certifications in the partner community. David also leads marketing focused on awareness, demand generation and go to market activities with partners. David joined Oracle in 2006 and prior to working in his current capacity, he was responsible for Strategic ISV sales and Strategic Global Partner Account Management. Before joining Oracle, David worked for Siebel Systems for 7 years in Global Alliance and Channels, most recently in a capacity where he managed Siebel’s SI and Platform partnerships. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. He has worked in the IT industry for more than 20 years.
Erwan Prud'homme, Managing Director, Novencia
Erwan is a graduate in statistics and informatics of the University of Brittany in France in 1996. He learned SAS in 1995 during his studies. He began his career in Canada as a statistician for a statistical company for agri-food customers. Then he joined CRO firms in France and Switzerland and worked for several pharmaceutical industry regarding application for marketing approval. In 2000, he was hired in SAS France as sales support consultant. He started his company, 13ii CONSEIL, in 2005 and signed a partnership with SAS for the SMB market. In 2016, 13ii CONSEIL merged with the NOVENCIA Group, and became the Best Reseller for SAS France. Erwan manages all the business analytics for Novencia Group including the SAS partnership.
Gianfranco Calvi, Managing Director, Target Reply
Gianfranco Calvi, received a degree in Information Science at University of Milan and started his career in Mesarteam in 1989. He was always interested in technology and He immediately started to study in depth technology topics. Thus, he became manager of a team specialized in relational technologies and fourth generation languages. In 1995, he joined Sybase as sales support manager for Italy. Then he accepted the added responsibility of product marketing manager for solutions related to datawarehouse and data analysis. Starting from 1999, He joined Microstrategy and He acquired in depth competencies on analytics with the role of technical director at the beginning for Italy and then for South Europe. In 2007, Gianfranco joined Reply as a parter at Target Reply, the company of Reply Group specialized on Analytics. Gianfranco contributed to expanding and innovating Target Reply proposal becoming one of the main player for professional services and consulting for Data Governance, big data and machine learning. Gianfranco Calvi is 54 years old and has 2 sons.
Jonathan Bauer, Principal, US Alliance Lead, Deloitte
Mr. Bauer is a Principal at Deloitte Consulting and serves as the Alliance leader for Deloitte Consulting in the US. He is responsible for the alliance strategy with a focus on the strategic management of the portfolio, expanding go-to-market activities with alliance partners across the board and building brand thru alliance activity. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Bauer held two leadership roles within the firm, National Managing Director of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) industry, and before that, as the Telecommunications Sector lead. He has also supported key, global, go-to-market initiatives with a number of other global Deloitte country practices.
Mr. Bauer served on the board of Big Brother Big Sister of Chicago for 4 years, helping the organization expand into the larger metropolitan area of Chicago and develop the mentoring program with large corporate partners, including Deloitte.
Maxine Scanlon, Commercial Director, Amadeus
Maxine Scanlon was asked to join Amadeus Software as the Commercial Director in 2013. Since this time, Maxine has developed a commercial sales structure within the business, and successfully spearheaded Amadeus’ ambition to become a key member of the SAS reseller programme. Using her commercial experience, Maxine has demonstrated significant year on year business growth through forging strong business relationships, as well as promoting new business across three of Amadeus’ core business areas – SAS Software, Consultancy and Support.
Robin Way, President and CEO, Corios Group
Mr. Robin Way has nearly 30 years’ experience in the design, development, execution and improvement of applied analytics models for clients in the banking, insurance, payments, brokerage and energy industries. Mr. Way is the Lead Faculty for Banking on behalf of the International Institute of Analytics (http://iianalytics.com/). Mr. Way also operates his own management analytics consultancy, Corios LLC (http://coriosgroup.com), based in downtown Portland, Oregon. Mr. Way was previously employed with SAS Institute’s Financial Services Business Unit as a managing analytics consultant for 12 years, in addition to another 10+ years in analytic management roles for several client-side and consulting firms.
Mr. Way’s professional passion is devoted to democratizing and demystifying the science of applied analytics, and his contributions to the field correspondingly emphasize statistical visualization, analytical data preparation, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, and mathematical optimization applied to marketing & risk management strategies. Mr. Way’s undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his subsequent graduate-level coursework emphasized the analytical modeling of human and consumer behavior.
Ron Tolido, EVP and Global CTO, Capgemini Insights & Data
Executive Vice President and Global CTO, Capgemini Insights & Data. Director, The Open Group. Certified Master Architect. Lead author of Capgemini’s TechnoVision trend series. Digital Transformation ambassador. Guest lecturer executive master programs of Nyenrode and TIAS business schools. Based in the Netherlands, Mr. Tolido currently takes interest in the new data landscape, cognitive and AI systems, API management, digital strategy, enterprise architecture, DevOps, application rationalization, disruptive technology and – above all – radical simplification.
Tae Wook Kim, General Manager, Kolon Benit
Tae Wook Kim is the General Manager for Big Analytics at Kolon Benit Corporation. Tae Wook has held a variety of management roles at Kolon Beneit since 2012. He graduated from Kookmin University in 1997 with a major in Business Administration.
Aclair Braga, Executive Director, Maxtera
Aclair Braga is the CEO at Maxtera. Aclair graduated in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis in Computer Engineering, from the University of Brazilia, where he also received a Masters in Electrical Engineering. He received an MBA in Business Administration and Strategic Administration from FGV. He is certified in COBIT and PMP since 2003.
