Establishment of the CPO Office in President Obama's new administration reinforces the research that commercial, non-profit, and public sector organizations recognize the importance a skilled "performance" executive brings to the executive team.
Well established roles such as CFO, CIO, CTO, CMO etc. have specific competencies. Similar to those roles, CPOs offer proven competencies to enable their peers to accelerate and enhance performance. I thank unselfish executives who co-authored their cases in the book "Five Key Principles of Corporate Performance Management". Chapter 4 in particular outlines 12 live cases of CPM Offices. Go to www. paladinoassociates.com/publications-five-key-principles.php I had the pleasure of co-authoring an article with Gary Cokins on the "CPM Office" in Business Performance Magazine (August, 2007; page 18-23) as another reference for fellow bloggers. |
