Dan Obermiller is the JMP Training Manager and head of the SAS Design Institute for Six Sigma. Dan comes to SAS following 21 years with The Dow Chemical Company, where he was a Six Sigma Technology Leader and certified Master Black Belt. Dan also was a consulting statistician at Dow – with particular support in R&D, consumer products and emulsion polymers – and the company’s statistical software contact, including JMP Product Manager since 1992. He has coached numerous successful projects and certified more than 150 Green Belts and Black Belts, and his efforts in Six Sigma helped Dow deliver more than $1 billion yearly in Six Sigma savings. Dan received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from John Carroll University in Cleveland and a master’s of applied statistics from The Ohio State University.
