Analytics 2013 Orlando – that’s a wrap!

0

The Analytics Conference series wrapped its last event of the year in Orlando and, as promised, there was plenty to take in during the two-day event. Now what? You can watch all the highlights, including full keynotes, on demand!

Among the keynote presenters this year, SAS CEO Dr. Jim Goodnight spoke about high-performance analytics and how it’s inspiring business innovation.

Conference co-chair, Dr. Will Hakes dove into "Analytical DNA"– which he explained is about extracting the common threads inside of companies that don’t just DO analytics, but rather ARE analytics, at their core.

I had the chance to interview Dr. Hakes after he left the stage.

Dr. Sven Crone of Lancaster University had another thought-provoking keynote at the conference. He showcased several new applications in the utilities and retail industries where data mining algorithms were applied to time series data. You’ll have to watch to see the surprising results.

I also caught up with Dr. Crone to get his take on the future of forecasting.

We’ve posted plenty of other speaker interviews from our Inside Analytics 2013 video series on YouTube. Catch up and consider attending Analytics 2014. First stop is Germany in June and then the series heads to Las Vegas in October.
