Back in the early days of college, I had a friend who was pledging a fraternity. He had always talked about joining a frat, but never really knew what it entailed to become a part of the “brotherhood.” Once he decided to go Greek, he started rushing different fraternities, and after being invited to become a pledge, he realized there was a lot more to becoming a brother than he thought – those who have had the privilege of joining a fraternity know what I am talking about (disclaimer – I never did). After several painful, demanding, and not to mention humiliating experiences (he mentioned at one point eating pig’s feet in that big jar from the convenience store next door), he eventually dropped out, and after talking to one of the brothers, he told me that my buddy “had everything it took to be a brother, but not enough to be a pledge.”
Like a fraternity (or sorority), we at SAS want to make sure you have all you need to be a successful “pledge.” Sure you want to become SAS Certified, “but what does it take?” might be the question you are asking yourself. “I have always heard about SAS, but what is it? Can it help me out in my career? What courses do I need to take to become an effective SAS user?” No matter where you are in your career, we have the tools, training and support to help you succeed, and get you not only where you might need to be, but want to be.
This is where SAS Customer Service comes in, to help bridge the gap. We are here to help get you started, with things like transitioning from becoming a non-SAS user, to a SAS Certified Base Programmer, or finding that specific course you need. Been out of the loop for a while, and need a refresher course? We can help with that, and advise you as to which course(s) you need. Registered to attend a class, but your four-year-old is sick? Call us, and we can discuss your options. Boss wants you to take a class that starts tomorrow? Let us see what we can do to get you enrolled.
Remember that in the end, our goal is the same as yours - for you to learn SAS. Just like pledging a fraternity (or sorority), there is a commitment on your end, but the rewards and benefits last a lifetime. With SAS Customer Service to keep you on track, we can help you achieve that goal without all the pain, humiliation… or pig’s feet.
