Not quite the usual saving when buying a Kindle-based copy.
Hi Anders, I have some follow-up information to share with you - that may be of interest.
It appears that both Apple and Amazon provide a free sample download of books. Usually that’s the first chapter. Amazon has a search inside feature for up to 20% of the book.
Apple provides a sample up to 10% of the book or first chapter. Google allows a search up to 20% of the book.
This seems interesting! However before buying, I would like to download a test sample (or test chapter) - just to verify that all the techniques are working well.
There are, alas, many different platforms for ebooks.

If our files meet the vendor specifications for their devices, then the files upload successfully and are made available for sale. We do not make a sample ebook chapter available for each book.
