Manage the internal SAS 9.2 account policies

0

In SAS 9.2, internal accounts can be created and utilized within the metadata and then do not require host (or domain) accounts defined elsewhere. By default, the sasadm@saspw is one such internal account.

Unless you specifically declare an exception, the server-level policies for routine password resetting and locking (such as after 3 failed attempts the account is locked) will still apply. To check what the internal account is set or to change the setting, open the properties of the user in SAS Management Console User Manager plug-in, move to Accounts tab, and select Update.

The account policy settings are then available at the bottom of the resulting properties screen.
