5 Ways to Join SAS Authors on sasCommunity.org!

0

Did you know that several major contributors on the collaborative online community for SAS® users worldwide are SAS Press authors? In fact, sasCommunity.org, created by SAS users for SAS users, includes authors Art Carpenter, Don Henderson, Kirk Lafler, Michael Raithel, Howard Schreier and Charlie Shipp on the current advisory board.

Other sasCommunity.org contributors include SAS Press authors such as Sunil Gupta, Susan Slaughter, and Philip R. Holland just to name a few.

You don’t have to be a SAS Author to contribute to sasCommunity.org. Anyone can create an account and get started! You can even connect and collaborate with SAS authors on the site. Here are 5 ways to get started:

    1. Create a blog like Gerhard Svolba or add your existing blog to sasCommunity.org planet.

    2. Join the Tip of the Day project by submitting new technical tips related to SAS software.

    3. Create a Web page with SAS Code on sasCommunity.org.

    4. Ask an author a question. You can likely find them on this list. Go to their enhanced user page page and click “send a message”. (You must be logged in).

    5. Read SAS Press Author contributions and make comments on their posts. Simply go to their user page and click user Contributions in the Top or Left navigation bar.

For example, SAS Author Chris Hemedinger has made the following contributions on sasCommunity.org. View an article that interests you and add a note to the Discussion tab on the page to comment. (You must be logged in).

To learn more about sasCommunity.org and meet some of the SAS Press Authors and other SAS Users that run the site, be sure to visit their booth at SAS Global Forum 2011 in Las Vegas and attend their Panel Discussion.
