I've been working on a project for SAS Publishing that launched this week - a new video series featuring interviews with our authors and SAS experts. Some of you might already be familiar with our podcast series (soon to be on iTunes!), The Cover Story, hosted by my colleague Shelly Goodin. We've given our video series the same name, as it's a perfect complement to the audio interviews. These videos are live and unrehearsed, giving authors an opportunity to quickly spotlight their titles or upcoming projects.

Armed only with a Kodak Zi8 and a wired clip-on mic, SAS Press Acquisitions Editor Stacey Hamilton filmed seven author interviews in Las Vegas during the M2009 and PBLS conferences. Once she returned to the office, I edited the videos using Apple's iMovie software and then handed them off to our video department, who uploaded them to the SAS YouTube channel.

We look forward to continuing the series at the many trade shows and conferences SAS Publishing attends throughout the year, and are already planning coverage for SAS Global Forum 2010.
