If you create (in SAS Management Console) a user group with parentheses in it's name you cannot assign a Portal page to that group. A NullPointerException results instead. The workaround is "don't do that", or remove the parentheses if you did. While I haven't exhaustively tested the boundaries of this it's possible that other special characters would cause problems also.

i think that this i due to the standard encoding of the xml used by sas9.Usually in UTF-8.In short it's better not to use any Special Character in any SAS BI componentFor example I've got some problem with Campaign Studio
