DI Studio 3.4 Supports Partial Promotion

2

Upgrading your EBI SP4 to DI Studio 3.4 creates the capability of packaging up areas of Metadata (such as the tables in a library) into a "spk" file. Allowing you to then import those items into another repository. This is the FIRST time a GUI driven system has been available to SAS EBI users to Import/Export specific elements of their BI system.

Pretty cool functionality - if everything is 'found' by sas during the import. Suggestions -

  1. Import all your libraries, data tables, and other inputs on those ETL jobs.
  2. Take detailed notes on those tables that the import wizard didn't find. These will cause you problems elsewhere later on - as [Missing Token]s on the ETL job's SQL Joins.
