AMO Install says Office Products Running

0

Two users yesterday claimed that during the SAS Add-In to Microsoft Office (AMO) installation, an error message appeared stating that Microsoft Office Products were still running on their machine. When looking at the task bar AND the Task Manager Applications window, only the Installshield was up.

Workaround - choose the 'Processes' tab in the Task Manager. Make sure that WINWORD.EXE isn't running in the background.

I found that the problem isn't Word, it's that for some users Word runs from Internet Explorer when opening a doc file through a URL. Well, this is how I have the instructions on installing the AMO product. Guess I will be moving this to an HTML file shortly. Anybody have tips on saving in HTML from Word? Ugh :)
