Since 1999, SAS Curriculum Pathways has been making a difference in the lives of students, teachers, and parents. Through interactive, web-based technology, SAS Curriculum Pathways delivers educational resources and curricula that make learning fun and enhance student achievement and teacher effectiveness.
Even though SAS Curriculum Pathways resources and mobile apps are developed in English and aligned with US state and Common Core State Standards, their use doesn’t stop at the border. With the help of SAS’ Global Academic and SAS Curriculum Pathways teams, schools around the world are finding value in the resources and are introducing the web lessons and interactive tools to their students.
Here are a few examples of SAS Curriculum Pathways’ implementation successes in other countries.
South Africa
In South Africa, school infrastructure and technology availability vary from community to community; some schools are well-equipped to provide access to SAS Curriculum Pathways, and others face many barriers to introducing technology.
Several schools in South Africa have implemented SAS Curriculum Pathways, including one in the Diepsloot area. SAS South Africa collaborated with community partners to help get technology in the school’s classrooms and enable students to access and benefit from SAS Curriculum Pathways resources. United Kingdom (UK)
To make resources relevant in classrooms, the SAS UK office developed documentation aligning SAS Curriculum Pathways to UK education standards. Implementation in London and across England, Scotland, and Wales is growing, despite that pesky math v. maths imbroglio.
Thailand
The largest and most longstanding international implementation of SAS Curriculum Pathways is in Thailand. Last year, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn recognized SAS for its work with the National Science and Technology Development Agency and other public organizations to deploy SAS Curriculum Pathways to secondary schools throughout Thailand.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) also recognized the SAS Thailand office and SAS Curriculum Pathways for exemplary Corporate Social Responsibility.
Poland
Implementation across the country has risen steadily, and SAS Poland now has customer advocates at the ready to speak about the benefits of SAS Curriculum Pathways. The country office also hosts customer workshops to garner interest from new schools and teachers.
Australia
Australia has long been a leader in digital learning, and with the support of SAS Australia the country has seen great organic growth of SAS Curriculum Pathways. Users are being exposed to the online resources through word of mouth and social media. App downloads for Reading Records, for example, have skyrocketed as a result.
Overall, there are 44,000 schools in 81 countries around the world using SAS Curriculum Pathways. With registration available to global users, we hope those numbers continue to grow. What are you waiting for?
