So what is SAS?

Actually, we get that question a lot. Curriculum Pathways is just one education product of SAS, a global leader in data analytics – that “Big Data” thing you may have heard about. In fact, SAS has over 200 software solutions, many for helping education.

While Curriculum Pathways has been around for the last 16 years, SAS has been around for 38 years. Its roots are deeply set in academia, starting from work done at North Carolina State University. (Go Wolfpack! I may be a little biased.) First used to analyze agricultural data, SAS now helps all sorts of customers: pharmaceuticals, banks, government, and retail to name just a few.

SAS just debuted a video that will help you understand a little more about where we came from and why we remain grounded in academia. From how we started to how many pounds of M&M'S we consume a year (yum!), take a look at what SAS means and all that we do.
