The key to solving problems is to use ppt

With all due respect to Microsoft, I am not talking about that type of ppt, but instead I am referring to people, process, and technology (PPT).  SAS helps to solve all types of problems because we bring more to the table than technology; we help our customers get answers to their questions by applying advanced analytics to data in order to change that data into valuable information.

We've been doing this for 37 years with more than 60,000 customer sites around the world. As a result, our advanced analytics technology also comes with the experience of helping identify the right types of people and skills needed to address these issues as well as an understanding of the processes which need to be in place to be successful.

How does this play out?

From a people perspective, we may advise our customer on how to form an Analytic Center of Excellence (or ACE) to support analytics across multiple lines of business.  We help them to identify and understand new roles like a data scientist or an analytical DBA along with the skill sets needed for these roles.  These new roles must work alongside the traditional business managers and analysts in order for their entire team to be successful.

The process which drives innovation and helps address strategic insights is driven by our understanding of analytics and is at the core of our solutions, the analytics lifecycle.

The analytics lifecycle with roles from an analytic center of excellence (ACE).

Our technology helps enable the people mentioned above to implement the necessary processes associated with the analytic lifecycle to successfully answer questions and provide strategic insight on which an organization's leaders can make the best possible decisions to help move their organizations forward.

SAS itself is living proof of how effective people, process, and technology can be since our company was once again named as a great place to work, which, in a roundabout way, benefits our customers since it helps us attract and retain great people. In addition, the company culture and the processes that have been developed to deliver outstanding technology to our customers has been very successful having resulted in our 37th straight year of revenue growth.

Don't take just my word on this, see how Fast Company describes How SAS Became the World's Best Place to Work.  This is why I can say with confidence the key to solving problems is to use ppt!

  1. Hi,
    I enjoy the diagram.
How it will implement in the BICC (Business Intelligence competency Center)?

  2. The BICC (Business Intelligence Competence Center) http://www.sas.com/consult/bicc.html
that you refer to is a consulting service SAS has offered for quite a while around this same type of topic. The diagram outlining the analytic lifecycle would be a part of this overall service. As a matter of fact the 5 minute pathfinder survey on the BICC webpage is something that can highlight whether an organization should be planning to implement an "ACE" as part of their overall strategic plan.
