A sweet day for SAS employees around the world

1

Today SAS employees are celebrating the news announced last evening by the Great Place to Work Institute. SAS is ranked No. 2 on the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces list! "This list recognizes global companies that have demonstrated a truly serious commitment to creating workplaces that foster trust, pride and camaraderie amongst their employees," said José Tolovi Jr., Global CEO of Great Place to Work. Joining SAS in the top five were Microsoft(1), NetApp(3), Google(4) and FedEx(5).

SAS takes the cake as a Great Place to Work

I joined SAS three years ago and still pinch myself. It really is a great place to work – one where you look forward to coming in the office each day and working alongside incredibly talented, smart and caring colleagues. Our CEO, Jim Goodnight, built SAS around the principle of people. He shares his thoughts about the recognition, “As a business leader I am most honored to know that the ranking is based on the feedback of our own employees around the world. We simply try to trust and respect people. Everything we do grows out of that philosophy.”

As SAS’ social media manager, it’s amazing to watch the celebratory tweets, comments and likes roll in from employees on Twitter and Facebook. We are all so proud of SAS and it’s no surprise to me that everyone wants to shout it from the rooftops. And while we SAS’ers have a penchant for M&M’s, today we celebrated with a piece of cake. Working never tasted so sweet.
