- World Statistics Conference, Dublin
More than 2200 statisticians from over 120 countries have descended upon Dublin, Ireland for the 58th World Statistics Conference of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). SAS is the Premier Sponsor of this biennial event being held this week through Friday, August 26th. SAS is also exhibiting, presenting papers and demoing both SAS and JMP software at its booth.
With more than 1300 invited and contributed papers being presented at this meeting in nearly every major area of statistical research and application, attendees represent the widest range of academic, industrial and government statisticians. A total of 22 concurrent sessions are offered in areas such as Statistical education, official statistics, data visualization, financial applications and more. A special focus at this years’ event is on statistical aspects of water resources and quality.
In support of this event, SAS and the Central Statistics Office (CSO) Ireland have teamed up to organize a session, “Maximizing the Potential of Administrative Data for Public Policy needs.”
