Mark Jeffries, a former Merrill Lynch stockbroker turned author and trusted advisor to corporate executives, opened the Premier Business Leadership Series this morning with a perspective on our first topic – really our focus for this day and a half conference. He reminded everyone that during this same conference in Hong Kong a year before, the economy seemed poised for recover, but the events of the spring and summer of 2011 have changed the speed of that recovery, if not put it on hold.
