If you're curious what makes SAS a great workplace, one answer always rises to the top - our people. It's no secret that the people who work here are some of the best and brightest - not to mention the most passionate, accountable, authentic and curious people you'll ever meet.

And at SAS, Your Curiosity Matters, because we believe in what we do. And we know, our innovation in analytics is only as important as what can be accomplished with it.

With over 14,000 employees around the world, it can be a bit challenging to get to meet all of the amazing people who work here. That's why we're kicking off a series where we can introduce everyone - stretching across time zones, country boarders, and business functions. Our people are the ones writing SAS' story, and we want you to meet "Our Storytellers". First up, let's say hello to Adnane Alaoui!

What do you do at SAS?

I work for the Enterprise Sales team, based in Dublin. Our team supports Account Executives in the field by generating pipeline. We constantly share best practices to continually improve, and ultimately, serve our customers better.

Every day is different and solving our customers’ business problems is my favorite part of the job. That and people management!

If your coworkers had to pick one word to describe you, what would it be?

Devoted – I checked with six people, and this one came up twice.

Which of our values resonates with you the most?

That’s a hard choice! If I have to choose, I’d say authentic. I always strive to show a genuine interest in the people I work with. If people know that you’re listening to them, you’ll earn their trust; and trust is the foundation of a healthy relationship.

What’s something unique about you?

I used to practice Judo at the international level. I still do Judo, but I don’t compete anymore. Judo teaches me that without pain, there’s no gain – in Judo you often fall, but you always have to get back up. It’s easy to apply that to my work in sales and management!

Outside of work, where can people usually find you?

I’m a single Dad to my princess, Maya. She’s four years old, and the most precious thing in my life. She shares my love of sports, so on the weekends we do gymnastics, horseback riding, and sometimes swimming!

I still practice Judo, and also play soccer with the SAS Dublin league and take Salsa lessons!

What’s some advice you wish you could share with your younger self?

One never really loses – you either win or you learn.
