An additional opportunity is in creating small pools of R and D people as Russian professors and stats students continue to innovate. Small Russian startups like those in St Petersburg and Moscow have definite appeal in the fascinating data mining and business enterprise technology they develop.
It's neat to hear about your trip and the sorts of issues that you're thinking about.
My image of SAS as a company is that you must be very interested in empirical data in addition to on-the-ground commentary. Is this so? How do you balance it all out in your role? I've just discovered your blog, and I like your clear, direct writing style. Thanks for sharing! |
