SCSUG kicks off Oct. 31--no costumes required!

San Antonio plays host to this year’s South Central SAS Users Group (SCSUG) Educational Forum.  Instead of the usual Sunday to Tuesday schedule, this year’s forum is being held on a Thursday (Oct. 31) and Friday (Nov. 1).    But don’t worry – Halloween costumes aren’t being encouraged – the focus remains on learning, sharing, and networking.

Conference Highlights

  • Optional, pre-conference seminars (extra fee) taught by nationally recognized instructors Ron Cody, Ron Fehd and Kirk Lafler.
  • Keynote speaker Chris Hemedinger from SAS, who will present Confessions of a SAS Dummy.  Chris will share how he has used analytics in his own life -- evaluating baby names, Facebook friends and movie rentals!   Using these humorous examples, Chris will teach you how you can hone your skills for when it really matters.
  • More than 40 presentations, including papers from SAS staff, for both beginners and advanced users
  • Hands-on workshops, a statistical tutorial, and two half-day seminars at no extra cost!

You can save money and time by registering now.  Regular registration is available until Oct. 30. After that, you can register on-site, but you’ll be paying a higher rate.   Then after two days packed with learning more about SAS, why not stay over and spend the weekend in San Antonio?  It’s the most visited city in Texas, and its diverse and rich culture offers something for everyone! Plus, there are plenty of attractions, including the Alamo, the historic missions, the River Walk, SeaWorld and several other nearby theme parks.

I'll be at the forum. Will you?
