Whether you are just getting started with SAS or an experienced user there are a slew of free resources you should know about. First, you can download and learn SAS for free. SAS University Edition is available for anyone who wants to learn SAS. Additionally, SAS offers many free online training courses and webinars, including the introductory classes SAS Programming 1 and Statistics 1. As you learn SAS you might also want to check out our SAS communities, where beginners and experts alike can ask questions, get answers and share their knowledge.
We also have our own publishing program, SAS Press, with books written by users for users - many of our books provide supplemental free code and data which can be accessed from our Author Pages. Plus, you can down load our two free eBooks showcasing selected topics in Data Science and Visualization techniques.
If you're going to SAS Global Forum 2017 our authors are another great ‘free resource’ and you will have the opportunity to meet many of them at the event. They are always happy to share their know-how and answer a range of questions from writing a book for SAS Press, to how to merge without a sort.
Already an experienced SAS user? Consider sharing your expertise by writing a book. Come on by the SAS Press booth and say hello, or if you will not be at SAS Global Forum this year – just send us a brief outline – that’s all it takes to get started!
Even if you have no publishing plans right now, do come and see us in the Hub and enjoy a special SAS Global Forum conference discount on our titles – since last Global Forum we have published 38 new books! So you will have a lot to choose from.
