Analytics 2015 lands in Rome on Nov. 9-11

The digital disruption phenomenon is redrawing the market map. New players, products and services are gaining competitive advantage, while traditional business and revenue models are being questioned.

Gartner believes that by 2020, thanks to the Internet of Things, information will be used to reinvent, digitalize or eliminate 80% of business processes and products developed in the previous decade.

The revolution is underway, and we cannot stand still. Organizations that are not able to start big data analytics projects will lose their leadership roles. Predictive analytics solutions have become the key factor for success because they allow organizations to speed up decision making and make strategic use of data available in real time, driving business operations towards digital transformation.

Analytics 2015 is an event spread across two continents to provide an opportunity for learning and interacting with a wide, international audience via distinctive events built at a “glocal” level. Following the Las Vegas event, held on Oct. 26-27, the European edition will take place in Rome from Nov. 9-11.

It is a training and networking event organized by SAS with the aim of enriching the knowledge and skills of anyone, no matter their job role, who deals with the new data-rich world on a daily basis.

Building the skills

According to a research conducted by Gartner on a sample of 2,810 CIOs, in 2015, BI and advanced analytics will remain (for the fourth-consecutive year) the No. 1 investment priority in the IT agenda of enterprises operating in key sectors and countries.

Frost & Sullivan expects that worldwide data traffic will exceed the threshold of 100 zettabytes by 2025, with an annual growth rate of 40 percent from 2012, raising the urgency to build a wealth of expertise on information management (collection, selection, analysis and data storage).

Adjusting the level of staff expertise on these issues is necessary for any business professional, regardless of role and task. Analytics 2015 aims to support business users and data professionals in their daily activity of using big data consciously and profitably.
