It’s almost here! The Analytics 2013 conference kicks off next week in Orlando. Around 1,000 analytics professionals from around the world will be attending to learn, network and even have some fun.

Many of our speakers attend the conference year after year, so we asked some of them to share their advice for making the most out of the conference. Here’s what they had to say:

Take back at least one “value add” tip that can be implemented in your organization.  Try to find one that will return enough value to pay for your trip.  If you spend your time looking for this tip, then you will gain much benefit from the entire program as it will make you study the content. Rex Pruitt, Capgemini

Enjoy the entire conference. Attend as much presentations as possible. We never know when new ideas come to light. Take advantage of the networking events. People are usually eager to talk. You can get good insights from both speakers and attendees. Carlos Andre Reis Pinheiro, KU Leuven, Belgium

If you have opportunities to ask speakers questions, ask them how they use analytics to drive business values and improve decision qualities. Jack Chen, Dell

The Analytics 2013 agenda brings together the top minds in the field, offering unprecedented networking and learning opportunities for attendees – take advantage of them. For example, on Tuesday morning my track includes a phenomenal panel discussion of top academics representing leading analytics programs, facilitated by our colleague and genuine rock star Dr. Jennifer Priestley. If analytic talent is strategic to your firm’s success, I would encourage you to attend this panel as well as my session on 10/22 at 3pm. Greta Roberts, Talent Analytics

This will be my first time attending the Analytics conference and I have the pleasure of hosting our Inside Analytics 2013 video series where I’ll be interviewing a number of speakers and analytics experts.

You can follow my interviews on the Inside Analytics playlist to get some insightful tips to help you learn how to improve your business.

Since learning is a big part of why people attend, SAS training is offered before and after the conference.

Have you ever attended the conference? What’s your advice? Leave us a comment and share your experiences.

I hope to see you in Orlando!
