Self training for SAS certification

2

Are you a self starter? Do you prefer to work alone or with a group? Are you strangled by structure or supported by it? I promise this isn’t a viral Friday afternoon quiz. I ask these questions as I’m indulging in some minor procrastination. I’ve been busy all day preparing for an upcoming social media presentation for SAS Publishing colleagues. As I’m agonizing over choosing the best content to enlighten, engage, and encourage , I’m confronting a few bad habits. Or, if you watch the Showtime program Dexter like I do, you could say that I’m dealing with “my dark passenger.”

Hopefully you don't have any bad habits.  But whether you do or not, if you're a self-starter interested in pursuing SAS certification (who enjoys the feel of the open air and taking action at your own pace), you should take a look at our two newly updated SAS Certification Prep Guides. You can prepare for the Base Programming for SAS 9 exam with SAS Certification Prep Guide: Base Programming for SAS 9, Third Edition or for the Advanced Programming for SAS 9 exam with SAS Certification Prep Guide: Advanced Programming for SAS 9, Third Edition.

These self-study resources provide a convenient way to become more knowledgeable about all of the objectives tested on the exams.  Yes, there are quizzes but they are NO pop quizzes and you don’t have to cram all night because you’re under duress to take a test the next morning.

Best of luck to those of you embarking on your SAS certification journey! (And wish me luck as I eject my dark passenger).

  1. Greetings,
I would like to take the base programming certification exam. I was wondering if you could direct me to any helpful websites or other sources of info that may provide good study material ( other than the SAS website, which I have checked out. I was under the impression that they provided a 6 month e learning review for this exam but I can't find it. ) Thanks so much for your help.
    Bob
