David Pope leads the technical team for SAS US Energy which focuses on solving business problems in the Oil+Gas and Utilities industries. Prior to this role he was a Principal Solutions Architecture in SAS’ Enterprise Architecture practice. David has over 22 years of business experience working with/at SAS across R&D, IT, Sales and Marketing in both the Americas as well as Europe. He has worked in multiple industries including: Finance, Communication, Energy, Media, Health Care, Government, Retail, and Education. David graduated Magne Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with a BS in Industrial Engineering and a Certificate of Computer Programming. He has presented at SAS Global Forum, IBM’s Information on Demand, EMC World, and currently holds five U.S. patents for SAS.
