Blending creativity and discipline

SAS Books representatives Stacey Hamilton and Lisanne Roskam

The Premier Business Leadership Series (PBLS) was in full swing on day one with the astute and provocative keynote address, "Prosperity at Risk," by the prolific Michael E. Porter, an internationally known competitive strategist and professor at the Harvard Business School.  His tome On Competition is a resourceful compendium for the modern decision maker.

Day two kicked off with featured speaker Jim Collins, and we sold many copies of his book Great by Choice. One of my favorite quotes from his talk was, "There's a tension between creativity and discipline. The secret is to blend both." And after six days in Vegas, I think I have finally mastered that blend.

If you weren't able to attend PBLS this year, you can still view our many leading business titles.
