Principal Product Manager, Reliability & Quality

Leo Wright is Product Manager of Reliability and Quality Solutions for JMP, a division of SAS. He joined SAS in 1999 and has 27 years of professional experience in biological sciences and manufacturing. Specializing in manufacturing quality and operations, Wright has significant experience in quality improvement techniques. At Gerber Products, where he worked before joining SAS, Wright directed the Corporate Quality Assurance program, and won the 1999 Process Manufacturing Enterprise Integration Award from Software Strategies magazine for the development of an integrated process control system that achieved substantial cost savings in manufacturing. Wright’s career also includes management positions with Ocean Spray Cranberries and Stroh Brewery. During his tenure at SAS, he has held positions as Consulting Manager, Solution Architect and Field Strategy Manager. Wright received his bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams College in 1980 and has completed several graduate-level courses in applied statistics, focusing on manufacturing process improvement. He earned the Quality Engineer certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and is a Senior ASQ member in the areas of reliability, Six Sigma, statistics and food regulation.
