Chris Kirchberg is a Technical Enablement Engineer for the JMP division of SAS. Kirchberg has more than 25 years of experience in bioinformatics, proteomics and genomics. Before joining SAS, Kirchberg worked at various bioinformatics companies helping customers explore biological pathways related to data and instructing users on software applications related to microarray data analysis, data integration, proteomic data analysis and protein identification. Kirchberg has an MS in biochemistry from Colorado State University, where he researched structure-function relationships of proteins. He continued this work at University of Colorado at Boulder, studying cytochrome c oxidase assembly, transcriptional cross-talk between the mitochondrial genome and the nuclear genome, and oxidative stress in yeast. Kirchberg was also an adjunct professor at Metropolitan State College of Denver where he taught human biology.
